Job Summary
Assist Store Manager in running a busy Dollar General store by providing customer-service leadership, supervising employees, and supporting merchandising, cash handling, and loss-prevention tasks. Responsibilities include opening/closing the store, scheduling and training staff, maintaining inventory accuracy and planograms, ensuring financial integrity through cashier accountability and deposits, and assisting in store management in the Store Manager's absence. Requires strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to perform cash handling and banking tasks, proficiency with a cash register and reports, and physical ability to stock and stockroom duties in a fast-paced retail environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred
- One year of experience in a retail environment
- Six months supervisory experience preferred
