Job Summary
The Assistant Store Manager helps maintain a clean, well-organized store with a customer-first focus, assists with supervising store employees, merchandise presentation, paperwork, and deposits, performs stocking and cashiering functions, and supports profitability and customer satisfaction while protecting company assets and reducing losses. Responsibilities include customer service leadership, opening/closing, scheduling and training, inventory control, planogram implementation, cash handling and deposits, and acting in the Store Manager’s absence. Requires strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to drive to the bank for deposits.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred
- One year of experience in a retail environment and six months supervisory experience preferred
