Job Summary
Assistant Store Manager at Dollar General in Shelocta, PA. Responsible for assisting the Store Manager with supervising store employees, merchandising and presentation of merchandise, paperwork and deposits, stocking and cashiering, and other duties to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction. Duties include providing superior customer service leadership, opening/closing the store, scheduling employees, training, safety meetings, planogram maintenance, inventory control, cash handling and deposits, and managing the store in the Store Manager's absence. Requires effective communication, problem-solving, organization, ability to read and interpret documents, cash handling proficiency, vehicle to the bank, and a background in retail with supervisory experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred
- One year of experience in a retail environment
- Six months supervisory experience preferred
