Job Summary
Assistant Store Manager at Dollar General in Salt Lake City, UT. Oversees customer-service leadership, cashiering, and merchandise presentation under Store Manager direction. Responsible for scheduling, training, inventory control, planogram implementation, cash handling, deposits, refunds/overrides, and assisting in store management in the Store Manager’s absence. Requires strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, ability to read diagrams and procedures, mathematical calculations, cash handling, and ability to drive to the bank. Demands frequent walking/standing, lifting up to 40 pounds (55 occasionally), and a fast-paced environment. Educational preference is a high school diploma or equivalent with retail supervisory experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
- One year of experience in a retail environment and six months supervisory experience preferred.
