Job Summary
Assistant Store Manager assists in leading store operations and staff under the Store Manager. Responsibilities include providing superior customer service leadership, greeting and assisting customers, operating the cash register, opening/closing the store, scheduling employees, training and safety meetings, ensuring planograms and merchandising standards, maintaining accurate inventory, controlling damages and cash handling, authorizing refunds and overrides, counting tills, depositing money, and supporting the Store Manager in their absence. Requires strong interpersonal, written and oral communication, problem solving, organization, and cash-handling skills; ability to drive money to the bank and interpret safety and operating procedures.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred
- One year of experience in a retail environment and six months supervisory experience preferred
