Job Summary
Assistant Store Manager at Dollar General supports the Store Manager in supervising store staff, managing merchandise presentation, inventory control, cashiering, deposits, and ensuring profitability and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include opening/closing the store at least two days per week, scheduling and training employees, enforcing company policies, maintaining planograms, and ensuring cash handling accuracy, including deposits and refunds. Requires effective communication, problem solving, organization, cash register operation, and ability to drive bank deposits. Strong preference for a high school diploma or equivalent, with one year of retail experience and six months of supervisory experience.
Required Qualifications
