Job Summary
Assist Store Manager in a retail environment with a customer-first focus, supervising store employees, managing merchandise presentation, and handling deposits. Responsibilities include greeting customers, operating cashier functions, opening/closing the store, scheduling staff, training, maintaining inventory accuracy, executing planograms, ensuring cash control and refunds/overrides, and supporting store management in the Store Manager's absence. Requires strong interpersonal and communication skills, problem-solving ability, good organizational skills, attention to detail, reading safety documents, mathematical aptitude, and cash-handling proficiency. High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred; one year of retail experience and six months supervisory experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred
- One year of experience in a retail environment
- Six months supervisory experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as diagrams, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages
- Ability to drive own vehicle to the bank to deposit money (if applicable)
- Ability to lift up to 55 pounds occasionally
- Frequent standing and walking in a fast-paced environment
