Job Summary
Greet customers, operate cash registers and scanners, and manage merchandise displays while maintaining accurate inventory levels. Open and close the store at least two days weekly, assist with employee scheduling and training, and conduct safety meetings. Perform stocking, cashiering, and deposit functions, including driving to the bank, while protecting company assets and ensuring financial integrity. Manage store operations in the Store Manager's absence. Requires one year of retail experience and six months of supervisory experience.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to drive own vehicle to the bank to deposit money
- Ability to push and/or pull rolltainers for stocking merchandise
- Frequent and proper lifting of up to 40 pounds
- Occasional lifting of up to 55 pounds
- Occasional climbing (using step ladder) up to heights of six feet
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as diagrams, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages
- Ability to perform cash register functions and generate reports
- Knowledge of cash, facility, and safety control policies and practices
- Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year of experience in a retail environment
- Six months supervisory experience
