Job Summary
Assistant Store Manager at Dollar General in Lodi, WI, supports store leadership in supervision of employees, merchandising, cash handling, inventory management, and ensuring profitability and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include customer service leadership, opening/closing the store periodically, staff scheduling and training, maintaining planograms and merchandise presentation, inventory accuracy, cash handling, refunds/overrides, deposits, and coverage in the Store Manager’s absence. Requires strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, detail orientation, basic math, cash register operations, knowledge of safety and cash control practices, and the ability to drive to the bank; high school diploma or equivalent preferred with 1 year retail experience and 6 months supervisory experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
