Job Summary
Assistant Store Manager at Dollar General in Donalsonville, GA supports the Store Manager by supervising store employees, assisting with merchandise presentation and inventory, handling deposits, and ensuring customer satisfaction and store profitability. Responsibilities include greeting customers, operating the cash register, opening/closing the store several days per week, assisting with employee scheduling and training, maintaining planograms, inventory accuracy, cash control and refunds/overrides, and acting in the Store Manager's absence. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred
- One year of experience in a retail environment and six months supervisory experience preferred
- Effective interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as diagrams, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages
- Ability to drive own vehicle to the bank to deposit money
