Job Summary
Assistant Store Manager helps maintain a clean, well-organized store with a customer-first focus, under the Store Manager’s direction, supervising store employees, managing merchandise presentation, and handling deposits and paperwork. Responsibilities include stocking and cashiering, opening/closing the store at least two days per week, scheduling and training employees, implementing planograms, maintaining inventory, ensuring cashier accountability and cash-control procedures, approving refunds/overrides, counting tills, depositing money, and stepping in for the Store Manager in their absence. Strong emphasis on customer service, safety, and loss prevention, with proficiency in cash handling, financial integrity, and store operations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred
- One year of experience in a retail environment and six months supervisory experience preferred
