Job Summary
ASST STORE MGR at Dollar General in Callahan, FL. Assists Store Manager in supervising store employees, controlling inventory, ensuring financial integrity through cash handling and deposits, and maintaining customer service excellence. Responsibilities include opening/closing the store several days a week, scheduling staff, training employees, executing planograms, maintaining inventory accuracy, processing refunds/overrides, and stepping in during Store Manager's absence. Requires high school diploma or equivalent (strongly preferred), 1 year retail experience, 6 months supervisory experience, cash handling proficiency, ability to lift up to 55 pounds, and reliable transportation for bank deposits.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred
- One year of experience in a retail environment
- Six months supervisory experience preferred
- Ability to perform cash register functions and generate reports
- Ability to drive own vehicle to the bank to deposit money
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedures
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations such as percentages
- Ability to handle merchandise and operate equipment safely
