Job Summary
Assistant Store Manager helps maintain a clean, well-organized store with a customer-first focus under the Store Manager’s direction, assisting with supervision of store employees, management and presentation of merchandise, deposits, paperwork, and profitability while protecting assets. Responsibilities include providing superior customer service leadership, operating the cash register, opening/closing the store, scheduling employees, training, enforcing policies and procedures, managing stock and planograms, maintaining accurate inventory, ensuring cash control and deposits, authorizing refunds/overrides, and acting in the Store Manager’s absence. Strong emphasis on cashier accountability, merchandise control, and safety compliance.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred
- One year of experience in a retail environment and six months supervisory experience preferred
- Ability to drive own vehicle to the bank to deposit money
