Job Summary
Assistant Store Manager at Dollar General in Bryan, TX supports the Store Manager by supervising store employees, managing merchandise presentation, handling deposits, stocking, cashiering, and other duties to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include providing superior customer service leadership, operating cash registers, opening/closing the store two days per week, scheduling and training employees, ensuring compliance with policies, implementing planograms, maintaining inventory accuracy, managing cash controls and deposits, and stepping in for the Store Manager in their absence. Requires cash handling, math skills, ability to drive to the bank, and ability to perform physical tasks (lifting, standing, stocking) in a fast-paced retail environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred
- One year of experience in a retail environment and six months supervisory experience preferred
