Job Summary
The Assistant Store Manager helps run a customer-focused, well-organized Dollar General store under the Store Manager’s direction. Responsibilities include supervising store employees, assisting with merchandise presentation and planograms, cashiering and deposits, scheduling and training, enforcing company policies, conducting safety meetings, managing inventory and damages, maintaining cash controls and refunds/overrides, and stepping in during the Store Manager’s absence to sustain profitability and customer satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred
- One year of experience in a retail environment
- Six months supervisory experience preferred
