Job Summary
Assistant Store Manager at Dollar General in Beach Lake, PA, responsible for supporting the Store Manager in daily operations with a customer-first focus. Duties include supervising store employees, merchandising and planogram execution, inventory control, cashiering and deposits, scheduling and training, ensuring financial integrity, and maintaining store standards to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred
- One year of experience in a retail environment
- Six months supervisory experience preferred
- Ability to drive own vehicle to the bank to deposit money
- Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control
- Ability to perform cash register functions and generate reports
- Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as diagrams, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages
