Job Summary
Assistant Store Manager role at Dollar General responsible for supporting the Store Manager in leading store operations, supervising employees, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Key duties include supervising staff, cashiering and deposits, stocking and merchandising, managing planograms, inventory control, and ensuring financial integrity through cashier accountability and safe cash handling. Requires strong interpersonal and communication skills, problem-solving ability, organizational aptitude, and the ability to drive bank deposits. Preferred qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and retail supervisory experience. Willingness to perform store-opening/closing duties and to handle cash transactions and deposits; physical duties include lifting and stocking tasks as part of daily operations.
