Job Summary
Assistant Store Manager at Dollar General in Santa Claus, IN. Responsible for supervising store employees, assisting with scheduling and training, managing merchandise presentation and inventory, handling cash deposits and refunds, and supporting store operations in the Store Manager’s absence. Requires leadership, strong customer service, cash handling, and merchandising skills, with a high school diploma or equivalent preferred and retail supervisory experience. Must be able to open/close the store on at least two days per week and engage in frequent lifting and moving of merchandise in a fast-paced retail setting.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred
- One year of experience in a retail environment
- Six months supervisory experience preferred
- Willingness to Open/Close store at a minimum of two days per week
- Ability to drive own vehicle to the bank to deposit money
- Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
- Ability to perform cash handling procedures and cashier accountability

- 21+ age requirement
- Must be able to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 55 pounds
- Work in fast-paced environment with frequent standing and walking
