Job Summary
The Assistant Store Manager provides customer-focused leadership to maintain a clean, well-organized store; supports the Store Manager with supervising staff, merchandise presentation, and store procedures, including cashiering, deposits, scheduling, training, safety meetings, and adherence to policies. Responsibilities include stocking, inventory control, planogram implementation, and ensuring financial integrity through cashier accountability and cash handling procedures. The role requires effective communication, problem-solving, organization, cash handling, and the ability to perform several store operations tasks (opening/closing, reporting, bank deposits) with emphasis on profitability and loss prevention. Minimum preferred education is a high school diploma or equivalent, with retail experience and supervisory exposure viewed favorably.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred
- One year of experience in a retail environment and six months supervisory experience preferred
- Ability to drive own vehicle to the bank to deposit money
