Assistant Store Manager at Dollar General; lead store operations and customer-service efforts under Store Manager direction. Duties include supervising staff, cashiering, opening/closing, scheduling, training, ensuring policy compliance, managing inventory (receiving, stocking, planograms, displays), maintaining financial integrity (cash handling, deposits, refunds/overrides, tills), and assisting in-store leadership in the Manager’s absence. Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication, organizational and problem-solving skills are essential. Must be able to perform calculations, operate cash register, read diagrams/safety rules, lift up to 40 pounds regularly (up to 55 pounds occasionally), and travel as needed to other stores. High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred; experience in retail and supervisory roles is preferred.
