Job Summary
Assist Store Manager in leading store operations with a customer-first focus; supervise employees, merchandise presentation, inventory accuracy, and cash handling while ensuring profitability and loss prevention. Responsibilities include cashiering, opening/closing the store, scheduling, training, safety meetings, adherence to policies, planogram implementation, managing stock and displays, deposits, and supporting Store Manager in their absence. Key skills include customer service leadership, cash handling, merchandising, inventory management, supervision, communication, and problem solving. Must have high school diploma or equivalent (strongly preferred) and retail supervisory experience.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred
- One year of experience in a retail environment and six months supervisory experience preferred
- Ability to drive own vehicle to bank to deposit money
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to read and interpret documents and safety rules
- Mathematical proficiency including percentages and cash handling
- Experience with cash register functions and reporting
