Job Summary
Assist Store Manager in leading daily store operations with a customer-first focus. Responsibilities include supervising store employees, merchandising and planogram execution, preparing deposits, cash handling and cashier accountability, stocking and cashiering, scheduling and training employees, conducting safety meetings, and ensuring compliance with company policies. Drive accurate inventory management, support presence of attractive merchandise displays, manage refunds/overrides, and assist in store management in the Store Manager’s absence. Key skills include effective communication, problem solving, organization, mathematical accuracy, cash handling and bank deposit procedures, ability to read and follow diagrams and safety rules, and willingness to travel to bank deposits and other nearby stores as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalently strong preferred
- One year of experience in a retail environment
- Six months supervisory experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and operating instructions
- Ability to perform cash handling and basic math
- Ability to drive own vehicle to the bank to deposit money
