Job Summary
The Assistant Store Manager supports day-to-day operations at the Whalers Village TravisMathew store, focusing on sales and service, team leadership, and operational excellence. Responsibilities include connecting with in-store clients to build a repeat client base, driving sales and KPIs, recruiting and training a team of support managers and client-experience focused associates, coaching staff to meet client service standards, creating and managing in-store events and CRM activities to reward repeat business, executing product and visual merchandising directives, and maintaining inventory and store cleanliness. Requires proficiency with POS and back-office operations, strong communication skills, and the ability to work non-traditional hours. Bachelor’s Degree preferred; minimum 3 years of client-service experience and at least 2 years in retail store management. Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a client service-related capacity
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in retail store management
- Ability to work non-traditional hours; weekends, evenings and holidays
- Proficient in Microsoft Applications
- Proficient in point-of-sale (POS) systems
- Proficient in back-office operations management
- Proficient in visual merchandising
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to recruit, train, manage and develop a team
