Job Summary
Under the supervision of an occupational therapist, this role provides therapy services to inpatients and outpatients with diverse diagnoses. Responsibilities include executing effective treatment plans, supervising rehabilitation staff, meticulous documentation per department protocols, and maintaining professional standards consistent with AOTA guidelines. Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient care, adhering to safety and infection control policies. The position requires flexibility to work one Saturday and Sunday shift every four weeks along with a holiday each year.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Current Missouri license required or license eligible
- CPR certification required
Desired Qualifications
- Academic medical center environment experience
- Experience with electronic documentation systems
- Membership in AOTA and Missouri Occupational Therapy Association (MOTA)
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to travel to patient rooms, clinics, and gym areas
- May be exposed to hot/cold materials and sharp tools
- Regularly exposed to risk of blood borne diseases
