Asst MS Musical Director

Assist the middle school musical director with practices, costumes, set building and other duties for approximately 12 weeks from September to December. Practices are held before and after school, including two performances at the beginning of December. Teach participants skills for excellent achievement, plan and schedule regular practices, work with the activities director on competitions and performances, recommend equipment and supplies, maintain attendance and insurance records, oversee safety, enforce discipline and sportsmanship, and coordinate end-of-day pick-up arrangements. Emphasizes discipline, teamwork, and self-esteem, contributing to the educational opportunities and growth of participating students. The role is based at Marion Independent School District in Marion, Iowa.
