Job Summary
Lead Advanced Practice Registered Nurses and Physician Assistants by providing expert, evidence-based clinical care and professional oversight of advanced practice programs. Collaborate with Nurse Managers and department leaders to set patient care standards, manage department budgets, and optimize personnel and technology resources. Implement new knowledge and innovations to improve departmental and organizational-level advanced practice services while ensuring safe, high-quality care for patients and families. Manage the APP operating budget and formulate plans for new programs or services based on professional activity data.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree
- 2-3 years Advanced Practice experience
- progressive experience in leadership roles
- Licensed RN - Kansas
- Registered Nurse Multistate License Kansas
- Licensed Physician Assistant KS
- Registered Nurse Multistate License Missouri
- RN Compact license for all states besides KS and MO
- Certified Nurse Practitioner Missouri
- Certified Nurse Practitioner Kansas
- national board certification in one of the following
- APP board certification congruent with population and practice setting
- Life Support Certifications
- seasonal influenza vaccine
- willingness to be vaccinated if found non-immune to measles, mumps, rubella (MMR) and chicken pox (varicella)
- evidence of tetanus, diphtheria, acellular pertussis (Tdap) vaccination since 2005
- supply of immunization records as proof of vaccination
- medical and/or religious exemptions discussion with Human Resources
