Asst. Manager Welding Processes

Lead welding engineering activities to ensure compliance with ISO 3834, PED, and ASME; develop, qualify, and maintain Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Procedure Qualification Records (PQR), and Welder Qualifications (WPQ); define welding parameters, joint designs, and sequences for critical components; optimize GTAW, GMAW, Laser, Orbital, and Robotic welding for quality and efficiency; conduct welding trials for new products and materials; ensure compliance and conduct audits against ISO 3834, PED Module H, and ASME Section IX; implement inspection and testing requirements including NDT (VT, PT, RT, UT); act as Responsible Welding Coordinator per ISO 3834; manage documentation control and traceability; support audits and certification processes; provide production technical support, perform Root Cause Analysis of welding defects, and drive automation initiatives; evaluate and approve suppliers for welding capability; train welders, inspectors, and engineers; develop internal competencies aligned with ISO and PED requirements; collaborate with Design, Quality, Production, Purchase, and Industrial Engineering; contribute to TPM, Kaizen, and continuous improvement; monitor KPIs like weld rejection/repair rates and productivity; travel for supplier development and audits.
