Job Summary
Assistant Manager Nonexempt responsible for managing restaurant operations in conjunction with or in the absence of the Restaurant Manager. Responsibilities include recruiting, training, developing and evaluating staff; ensuring guest satisfaction and food quality; applying Service Profit Chain and Brand Promise; ensuring compliance with policies, procedures and labor laws; using management information tools to monitor performance, and contributing to sales and profitability through effective leadership, cost awareness, and operational discipline. Requires 18+ years old, ServSafe certification, and experience as a Shift Leader or Assistant Manager; high school diploma or GED (associate/bachelor’s preferred) and strong training/coaching/guest service skills; able to operate with integrity and maintain a positive brand image in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED or equivalent required
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum 1+ years experience as a Shift Leader or 1 year experience as an Assistant Manager in a customer service environment
- Must be ServSafe certified
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must complete Assistant Manager training classes
- Must be able to speak, read, and write effectively in English
- Must have valid driver’s license, insurance, and ability to travel between restaurant locations as required
