Job Summary
Manage labor and production teams at Biehle and McBride locations while overseeing logistics, grading, and fescue buying operations. Coordinate feed milling, grain handling, and seed processing to improve product quality, and lead the Division Safety Program by facilitating communication with corporate staff and ensuring employee training access. Directly supervise all Biehle employees except maintenance, while promoting sales efforts across agronomy, grain merchandising, and retail support. Assist in harvest workload management with a focus on personal customer contact and maintaining high standards for grain and seed quality. Prepare strategic growth plans for the Agricultural Division in cooperation with senior leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Experience managing labor and production people
- Experience managing logistics and grading in grain buying operations
- Experience managing feed milling, grain handling, small package production, and seed processing
- Knowledge of grain merchandising
- Experience coordinating customer contact programs with Target Contract Offers and basic grain origination
- Experience conducting weekly grain marketing meetings
- Experience talking to customers about grain origination
- Experience managing Division Safety Programs
- Experience facilitating communication between Division and Corporate Safety and Loss Prevention Staff
- Experience conducting safety meetings
- Experience ensuring employees access Safety Videos and Safety Training Information
- Experience developing operational excellence in efficiency and quality control
- Experience directly supervising employees
- Experience promoting sales efforts in Agronomy, Grain Merchandising, Grass Seed, Animal Feeds, Veterinary Supplies, and Retail Store Support
- Experience preparing overall strategic plans for growth of an Agricultural Division
- Experience managing harvest workload
- Experience managing quality and condition of grains, grass seeds, products, and feed ingredients
- Ability to work additional hours to manage harvest flow
