Kindergarten Assistant provides academic, socio-emotional, and behavioral support under the direction of the kindergarten teacher. Responsibilities include preparing instructional materials, providing planning time for teachers (including outdoor activities, rhythm activities, and story time), lunchroom assistance, and supervising routines (e.g., dismissal, restroom). Works with students one-on-one, in small groups, or with the whole class; reports to the principal and kindergarten teachers and supports district expectations. Skills emphasized include adaptability, dependability, cooperation, attendance, basic math and computer literacy (Microsoft Office), and effective communication for one-on-one and small group settings.
