Job Summary
Starbucks Assistant Manager role focused on guest relations, staff development, and department operations. Responsibilities include greeting and engaging guests, interviewing/training/scheduling staff, communicating information to the department, maintaining morale, leading with time management and delegation, supporting programs, driving financial goals, ensuring product quality and availability, safeguarding department assets, enforcing safety and cleanliness standards, ensuring proper use of department systems, coordinating with the Department Manager on production and promotions, coaching team members, maintaining updated books/manuals, coordinating inventory processes, and stepping in to manage department issues in the absence of the Department Manager. Requires 18+ years old, a high school diploma or equivalent, and at least 6 months of customer service experience; certification as a Food Safety Manager; bilingual ability a plus; and flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 6 months of customer service experience
- Must possess technical skills to perform basic math and computer tasks (Word, Excel, and Email)
- Must maintain a current Certified Food Safety Manager certification
- Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
- Must be flexible to work various hours/shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. and stand for long periods of time (up to 4 hours)
- Ability to work at fast-paced, but efficient and controlled manner
- Ability to function as a team member and get along with others
