Assistant 7 Hour Student Nutrition follows all HACCP and Student Nutrition Services guidelines and procedures. The Assistant 7 Hour Student Nutrition performs manual work in the preparation, serving and cashiering of federal reimbursable meals and a la carte foods to students and staff, under immediate supervision. Responsibilities include assisting students during meal service while ensuring health, safety, and school rules; preparing, cooking, and serving hot and cold food items with correct portions; taking and recording food temperatures; setting up serving lines; providing friendly customer service; handling cash and checks; ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local rules; stocking and organizing storage areas; assisting SNS staff with special diet requests; assisting with allergy-free tables; maintaining clean serving areas and equipment; and performing other duties as assigned. The role expects teamwork, dependability, customer service, and basic computer skills in a school nutrition environment in Ruskin, Florida.
