Job Summary
Ensure high-level customer service and maintain a clean, organized checkout area. Accurately record transactions on electronic cash registers, mainlines, and self-checkouts while replenishing merchandise and managing markdowns for hot-selling items. Maintain planograms, labels, and signing standards, perform cycle counts, and ensure compliance with tobacco, lottery, health, safety, and loss prevention policies. Operate equipment including ladders and handle tasks requiring standing, walking, and lifting up to 18 kg. Work a typical full-time schedule of 35-40 hours weekly consisting of day shifts, two evenings, and alternating weekends.

- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada and maintain authorization for the duration of employment

- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 18 kg (40 lbs.)
- Must be able to perform tasks involving firm grasping
- Must be able to perform repetitive tasks requiring a range of hand motions
- Must be able to reach above shoulder height and below waist level
- Must be able to operate equipment, including using a ladder
- Must be available for day shifts, two evenings per week, and alternating weekends
- Must be available for a schedule of 35-40 hours weekly (full-time) or up to 24 hours weekly (part-time)
- Must be able to accurately record customer transactions in electronic cash register, mainline and self checkouts (SCOs)
- Must be able to replenish merchandise around the checkout area
- Must be able to follow up on hot selling items and complete markdowns and SKU changes when needed
- Must be able to maintain planograms, labels, tickets and signing standards
- Must be able to perform cycle counts as required
- Must be able to ensure compliance of all policies when selling Tobacco and Lottery
- Must be able to ensure health and safety policies and guidelines are followed
- Must be able to ensure the checkout work area is kept clean and organized
- Must be able to ensure Loss prevention best practices are followed
