Job Summary
Act as a design authority for an engineering discipline with low to medium complexity. Complete assignments on small projects or portions of larger projects in a cost-effective manner. Apply basic design thinking/design for excellence concepts in projects. Collaborate to evaluate, select, and apply standard techniques; perform testing, installation, and commissioning activities; prepare project documentation; assist in preparing proposals and bills of materials; support change management and risk quantifications; develop work plans and cost estimates; review budgets and schedules; ensure safety and contractual compliance; coordinate with Supply Chain for supplier requirements; provide technical evaluation of supplier proposals; assign tasks to junior engineers and technicians. Hybrid work model in India (Bangalore) with travel up to 70%.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in engineering and commissioning of Power Management Systems (PMS)
- Experience with designing substation network architecture of control systems
- Working knowledge of IEC 61850, OPC, Modbus, DNP3, IEC 101/104, TCP/IP, Profinet, Fieldbus, OT/IT convergence, cybersecurity
- Hands-on experience with application engineering tools for any DCS
- Willingness to travel nationally and internationally up to 70%
- Valid international passport
