Associate / VP – Quantitative Analyst – Quant Strategy Research

Job Summary
Develop new investment strategies for stock selection and allocation to be published in research reports distributed globally. Work with Quantitative Strategists to implement new research ideas using advanced analytics and identify bottlenecks in existing processes to provide innovative automated solutions. Present complex analysis to diverse audiences of investors and distill information into clear, actionable insights. Requires Python, SQL, and proficiency with FactSet and Bloomberg platforms, with experience in AI and large-scale data sets. Based in Sydney or Hong Kong, with Mandarin skills an advantage.
Required Qualifications
- Highly analytical, numerate, and detailed minded
- Bachelor degree or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or similar analytical field
- At least three years of experience with Python and SQL
- Strong ability to build scalable, production-quality analytics, data pipelines, and research tools
- Proficiency with market data and analytics platforms, particularly FactSet and Bloomberg
- Experience working with large, complex, and unconventional data sets
- Solid knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and scalable data-processing techniques
- Strong communication skills
- Proven ability and willingness to work as a member of a team
- Talent for distilling complex information into clear, actionable insights
- Experience presenting to institutional clients
- The position will be in either Sydney or Hong Kong
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with RavenPack or other alternative data analytics platforms
- Able to actively embrace AI and emerging technologies to improve research productivity, automate workflows, and enhance investment insight generation
- Experience presenting to institutional clients will be highly valued
- Candidates with Mandarin skills will be an advantage
