Associate Vice President Structural Engineer / New England Infrastructure Practice Lead

Job Summary
Develop and maintain strong relationships with public sector clients, including MassDOT, MBTA, and municipal agencies while supporting business development efforts such as proposal preparation and client engagement. Serve as a local technical and project leader for infrastructure and structural assignments, coordinating with internal teams across NYC, Long Island, and New Jersey to deliver engineering services. Manage projects including scope, schedule, budget, and client communication, while providing technical oversight and QA/QC for structural and civil deliverables. Mentor and help grow local staff as the New England team expands, representing the firm at industry events and professional organizations. Assist in shaping the strategic direction of LiRo-Hill's New England infrastructure and structures presence.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering
- 15+ years of experience in civil/structural engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Massachusetts
- Demonstrated experience working with MassDOT, MBTA, and/or local municipalities
- Proven ability to develop and maintain client relationships and contribute to business development efforts
- Experience managing projects and coordinating multidisciplinary teams
- Strong understanding of structural systems related to bridges and infrastructure
- Working knowledge of building structures and/or site civil systems
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a collaborative, multi-office environment and leverage remote technical resources
- The selected candidate must be authorized to work in the United States
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree (preferred)
- Additional New England licensures (preferred)
- Background in transportation, bridge, and/or municipal infrastructure projects
