Job Summary
Provide executive leadership and strategic direction for Baylor University's Facilities Management organization, overseeing campus planning, design and construction, maintenance, custodial, utilities, landscape, and contracted services. Lead capital planning, deferred maintenance, renovations, and construction initiatives while developing and administering operating and capital budgets. Recommend policies, operational improvements, and long-range facilities strategies to ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and environmental requirements. Build high-performing teams and foster operational excellence through collaborative relationships with campus partners, contractors, and external stakeholders. Lead emergency response and business continuity efforts related to facilities, ensuring the University's physical environment remains safe, reliable, sustainable, and aligned with institutional priorities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Seven years of progressively responsible leadership experience in facilities management, engineering, architecture, construction management, or a related field
- Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree
- Ten or more years of senior facilities leadership experience, preferably in higher education
