Associate Vice President, Financial Planning & Analysis (Primary Care Organization)

Job Summary

Lead financial planning, forecasting, and value creation for CenterWell and Conviva's Primary Care Organization by developing current-year forecasts, annual operating plans, and long-range strategies including the 5-Year Plan and gross margin outlook. Own unit economics, membership growth, and provider economics to support enterprise decision-making, while partnering with executive leadership to evaluate business performance and guide capital allocation. Execute M&A due diligence for acquisitions and joint ventures, partner with payer teams on bid strategy and contracting evaluations, and enhance management reporting through driver-based P&L development. This role operates with significant autonomy to shape the organization's financial strategy and operating model, supporting long-term growth and profitability objectives within the healthcare sector.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Actuarial Science, Business, or related field
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, actuarial, healthcare finance, corporate development, or strategic finance
  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing teams and influencing senior executives
  • Demonstrated Medicare Advantage and/or value-based care experience, including forecasting, bid support, provider economics, payer contracting, or healthcare services
  • Experience developing annual operating plans, forecasts, long-range plans, and financial models
  • Strong analytical, strategic planning, and executive communication skills
  • Passion for improving healthcare outcomes and consumer experiences through financial and operational excellence
  • At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps
  • Wireless, wired cable or DSL connection
  • Occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings

Desired Qualifications

  • MBA, MHA, MS Finance, or other advanced degree
  • ASA, FSA, CPA, CFA, or similar professional designation
  • Experience with Medicare Advantage bids, M&A diligence, reserving/IBNR governance, payer contracting, and healthcare growth strategy
  • Experience leading driver-based planning, long-range financial modeling, and advanced healthcare analytics
