Job Summary
Associate/Vice President, Employee Relations Advisor role focusing on the APAC region (Hong Kong) within APAC Employee Relations. Responsible for managing employee relations matters, conducting workplace investigations, delivering ER advice aligned with JPMorgan policy and local regulations, driving ER strategy with stakeholders, and collaborating with HR Partners, Legal, Compliance, and Audit to ensure consistent practices and enhance employee experience. Requires strong ability to manage investigations, analyze issues/trends, and apply risk and control thinking in a global, matrixed, financial services environment. Must have Japanese language fluency and experience supporting clients in Japan, with a Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of relevant HR/ER experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in HR Advisory, Employee Relations, HR Regulatory Affairs, or Employment Law
- Knowledge of Employee Relations policies, practices, and philosophy
- Risk and control mindset; ability to conduct investigations following protocols
- Apply technical knowledge and business acumen for appropriate solutions
- Strong analytical skills to identify issues and trends quickly, paired with strong interpersonal skills, including emotional intelligence, for sensitive inquiries
- Experience in a global, matrixed, and complex business environment, in particular in international organisations and/or financial services
- Strong organizational and time management skills; multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Effective influence across all levels, partnering with multiple stakeholders
- Fluency in Japanese
- Aptitude to leverage all applicable business data tools and AI in case management and operational efficiencies
