Job Summary
Perform comprehensive examinations, diagnose illnesses and injuries, and develop treatment plans for companion animals. Operate diagnostic equipment, collect laboratory samples, interpret results, and perform surgical and dental procedures as appropriate. Provide preventive care services, including wellness examinations and client education, while counseling owners on treatment options and end-of-life care decisions. Maintain accurate medical records and collaborate with veterinary technicians to ensure compliance with standards and ethical practices. New graduates and experienced veterinarians are encouraged to apply.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or Veterinary Medical Doctor (VMD) degree from an accredited institution
- Current veterinary license or eligibility for licensure in the state of practice
- Eligibility to obtain applicable controlled substance registrations as required
