Job Summary
Deliver internal and external guest service the Nemacolin way by performing complete diagnostic workups, developing thorough treatment plans, and executing basic surgeries with appropriate anesthesia and pain management. Lead, develop, and manage the entire veterinarian team—including technicians and support staff—through daily schedule support, task delegation, and mentorship of new hires and student externs. Drive culture and delivery of quality care by performing regular hospital inspections, quality audits, and competency development while ensuring compliance with industry, regulatory, and Nemacolin standards. Advocate for preventive care, adopt wellness plans, and resolve client concerns to ensure consistent, ethical, and exceptional experiences for every pet.
Required Qualifications
- Monday - Friday availability
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VDM)
- Licenses: State Veterinary Board and DEA registration
- Five (5) plus years of related veterinary experience
- Ability to complete skill testing with near perfect scores
- Knowledge of and ability to operate Microsoft Office Programs – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical functions
- Ability to independently initiate, follow-up on, and complete assignments as well as special projects
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to effectively perform multiple tasks
- Ability to interface professionally with business contacts and customers
- Demonstrates interpersonal sound judgment and decision-making skills in directing administrative tasks, using discretion when necessary, understanding the potential impact on the department
