Job Summary
Build rapport with clients by gathering information, listening to their concerns, and empathizing with their needs. Perform physical examinations and diagnostic, medical, surgical, and dental procedures that deliver the highest quality care while minimizing patient stress. Communicate on topics such as pet diagnosis, treatment plans, preventive health care, and nutritional needs. Maintain client and patient medical records, ensuring all necessary logs are kept up-to-date through established protocols. Stay current on new medical information and changes in veterinary medicine. Assist in the development of the paraprofessional team to ensure delivery of exceptional client service and present a positive image of the hospital in the professional community. Full-time and part-time applicants considered with a consistent 9-6pm schedule.
Required Qualifications
- A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or related degree from an accredited university
- Licensure in good standing to practice in Ontario
- Commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding veterinary code of ethics
- Commitment to ongoing educational development and growth
