Job Summary
Perform surgical procedures ranging from routine spays to complex soft tissue surgeries, conduct thorough physical examinations and diagnostic tests to formulate treatment plans, and provide general medical care including vaccinations and parasite control. Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding nutrition and behavior while collaborating with colleagues to maintain accurate medical records. Participate in continuing education activities to stay abreast of advancements in veterinary medicine. Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or Veterinary Medical Doctor (VMD) degree from an accredited veterinary school
- Valid state veterinary license in good standing or eligibility to obtain one
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in veterinary medicine, preferably in a clinical setting
- Proficiency in diagnostics, treatment, surgery, and preventive care
- Compassionate, empathetic, and dedicated to animal welfare
- Ability to lift and handle animals of various sizes and weights, and to stand for extended periods
