Job Summary
Manage portfolio management, deal underwriting, and strategic projects for Stifel's Venture Banking Team, focusing heavily on active debt processes including structuring, underwriting, and presenting credit packages to the legal team. Conduct portfolio level analytics and reporting on pipelines and borrower status, while monitoring loan covenants and reporting updates to leadership. Review diligence materials and contribute to internal presentations of credit packages, ensuring compliance with various debt forms and sector trends. Attend industry events and networking functions to represent the firm and build professional networks.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting or another business related field
- 1+ years' of commercial banking, investment banking, or private capital investing experience
- Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices
- Knowledge of the financial markets
- Knowledge of banking
- Ability to analyze and report financial data
- Logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
- Effective communication in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel software
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook
