Job Summary
Apply commercial appraisal methodologies, market analysis, and financial analysis to support valuation analyses and appraisal conclusions. Analyze market trends, property characteristics, operating performance, comparable sales, and rental data to develop credible analyses supporting appraisal reports. Evaluate property-specific financial due diligence materials, including income statements, rent rolls, and purchase agreements, to ensure completeness and accuracy before report incorporation. Partner closely with appraisers, analysts, and clients to resolve analytical questions and deliver timely, reliable valuation solutions across multifamily and other sectors. Review preliminary work from Analysts and Senior Analysts to maintain consistency and quality standards throughout the engagement execution process.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, Business, or a related field
- 4+ years of experience in commercial or multifamily real estate valuation, underwriting, financial analysis, appraisal, or a related field
- Active Appraiser Trainee license in good standing
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
- Strong analytical and financial analysis skills with the ability to interpret commercial real estate market and property data and apply valuation methodologies
- Strong working knowledge of commercial real estate research platforms, including CoStar, RealPage, Yardi, REIS, ESRI, or similar tools
- Working knowledge of commercial appraisal principles, valuation methodologies, and applicable industry standards
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate analytical findings effectively to a variety of stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment, independently manage complex analytical assignments, and contribute to valuation conclusions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work in a deadline-driven environment
- Ability to mentor and develop less experienced team members while fostering collaboration and continuous improvement
- Attendance is generally required from 8:30 am – 5:30 pm local time, Tuesday through Thursday, with the option to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays
