Job Summary
Review and correspond on policy issuance, conduct inspection analysis to identify issues, and process post-inspection changes. Triage account submissions for underwriters, compile information for quoting and binding, and generate correspondence such as declination letters and quote follow-ups. Provide backup support to underwriters during market travel and assist with general clerical duties as assigned. Fill in for team members during peak periods or absences to ensure business continuity.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of 2 to 4 years insurance experience
- Working knowledge of insurance terminology
- Typing proficiency (35 wpm minimum)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Proficiency in Agency Management System(s)
- Ability to follow policies and procedures
- Self-motivated
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work independently for extended periods
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- General understanding of business writing
- Ability to work well in a small office environment
- Willingness to support the team, including general clerical and administrative tasks as needed
- Ability to travel with an underwriter
- 0-10% Travel
