Job Summary
Conduct direct and telehealth therapy services via phone, video, and in-person, including crisis intervention and short- and long-term psychotherapy. Perform mental health evaluations, formulate treatment plans, and manage referrals and case management services for patients and families. Complete in-person clinical assessments for Clubhouse enrollment and maintain accurate clinical documentation in the San Diego County EHR while adhering to HIPAA and mandated reporting protocols. Collaborate with case management, administrative, and leadership teams to ensure coordinated care and participate in interdisciplinary planning. Work independently with minimal supervision in a hybrid role, providing 9am to 6pm PST coverage at Pacific Health locations in San Diego County.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree from an accredited college or university in psychology, marriage and family therapy, social work, or counseling
- Current California license as Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT), Associate Clinical Social Worker (ACSW), or Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC)
- Active, current, and clear registration with the California Board of Registration with the Board of Behavioral Health Sciences (BBS)
- Previous experience working with mental health consumers
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Proficient in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides) and Gmail
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Analytical and multitasking abilities
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care
- Collaborative spirit and professional demeanor
- Computer skills and proficiency in office suites (Google), Spreadsheets (Google Spreadsheets), operating system (Windows/ MAC), communication and collaboration (Gmail)
- Strong analytical thinking and ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently

- Must be a mental health professional as an Associate Clinical Social Worker (ACSW), Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC), or Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT)
- Willingness to provide mental health services via tele-health to include phone and/or video calls while following mandated reporter protocols
- Must be able to demonstrate independent work with minimal supervision
- Must maintain a current license with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences as an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT), Associate Clinical Social Worker (ACSW), OR Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC)
- Possession of an active, current, and clear registration with the California Board of Registration with the Board of Behavioral Health Sciences (BBS) REQUIRED
Desired Qualifications
- Case management experience is preferred
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred
