Job Summary
Operate laser/ink jet marking stations to label Livestock Identification tags and packaging products, ensuring alignment with SOPs, health and safety standards, and quality requirements. Train new employees in a buddy system, record downtime, maintain packaging availability, and monitor equipment for malfunctions to minimize downtime. Maintain a clean, organized workstation and achieve required daily output while following established procedures and safety rules.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in operating a computer (mouse, file navigation)
- Proficiency in basic math (counting, adding, subtracting)
- Good manual dexterity
- Ability to read, comprehend and follow SOPs
- Ability to learn new basic computer skills
- Ability to operate a forklift (preferred)
- Experience in packaging operations or manufacturing quality control (preferred)
- Knowledge of manufacturing safety protocols and compliance (SOPs)
- Ability to record downtime accurately
- Ability to work in a team and perform buddy-system training
- Ability to maintain daily output targets
- Familiarity with inventory management and data entry
