Job Summary
Interpret Rx work tickets and perform production operations on specified equipment in accordance with established procedures. Conduct daily and weekly calibration of equipment, perform basic maintenance, and execute specific tasks including lens washing, tool selection, and equipment setup. Prepare necessary solutions or slurry mixtures for the lens production process and ensure sufficient supplies are available. Maintain work areas in a neat, clean, and organized condition while troubleshooting malfunctions and advising supervisors on possible remedies. Follow all company policies, safety rules, and attendance regulations, including exposure to hazardous substances requiring safety training. Provide training and technical guidance to less experienced employees and assist in keeping work current to meet deadlines.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent work experience
- Ability to multi-task
- Orientation to detail
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
- Basic high school level math skills
- Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds
- Willingness to assist others as necessary to keep work current, meet deadlines or maintain an even workload
- Willingness to cooperate with other employees and demonstrate a good attitude
- Ability to perform an acceptable quantity and quality of work on time as required
- Willingness to provide proper training, work direction, and technical guidance for less experienced employees
- Willingness to attend in-house or sponsored training meetings when necessary
- Exposure to one or more hazardous substances/chemicals which requires safety training
