Associate Technical Support Engineer

Job Summary
Provide technical support for enterprise-class SAS business software applications and solutions by applying specialized domain knowledge of software usage, features, functions, and interactions among application components. Routinely leverage this knowledge to resolve customer issues, influence software direction, and troubleshoot complex business domain problems involving multiple system areas. Proactively communicate with customers and internal experts during problem resolution, accurately document case management information, and manage expectations for technical and business management. Build specialized technical and business domain knowledge to interpret documentation, suggest appropriate software features and procedures, and advise users on competing vendor products. Act as a stakeholder in the product lifecycle with Research and Development to improve future software releases based on customer feedback.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related quantitative field or industry domain
- Typically requires six months of experience in programming, software development, testing, consulting, or support
- Equivalent combination of related education, training and experience
